About the Presenter
Naomi Robbins is president of NBR, a leader
in consulting and training in graphical data analysis and presentation.
She has spoken on graphs to numerous universities including Columbia and
McGill, professional societies including the Society of Women Engineers
and The Society for Technical Communication, and institutions and corporations
including Lockheed Martin and the United Nations. She holds an A.B.
degree in mathematics from Bryn Mawr College, an M.A. in mathematics from
Cornell University, and a Ph.D. in mathematical statistics from Columbia
University. She has served the New Jersey Chapter of the American
Statistical Association as President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer,
and Chair of the Advisory Committee, and was the first chapter member to
be awarded the Chapter Service Award. Before forming NBR in 1998,
Naomi was a member of the technical staff at Bell Labs.
